Accounting Clerk

The successful Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. This is a superb role and you will have the opportunity for career growth and advancement within this dynamic department. Based out of downtown Toronto area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary-to-full-time opening.


  • Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Accomplish full-cycle A/P
  • Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
  • Provide support to internal business partners
  • Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
  • Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
  • Perform special projects as assigned
  • Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
  • Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
  • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
  • Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
  • Foundational knowledge in Invoice Coding
  • Knowledge of Payable Invoices
  • Invoice experience highly desired
  • Proven knowledge of Navision
  • Proficiency in Invoice Processing
  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred


  • $18 – $21 per hour


  • 8- hour shift
  • Monday-Friday (5 days a week)
